Indian Army has released the notification for NCC Special Entry Scheme 49th Course SSC (NT) for Men & Women.

The Indian Army has confirmed that NCC-C certificate is necessary to apply for the vacancy but not necessary for wards of battle casualties. Indian Army has released the official notification for NCC Special Entry Scheme 49th Course SSC (NT) for men & women for April 2021 session at joinindianarmy.nic.in in December 2020. The details are as under:

The online application will start from 30th of December 2020 and last date will be 28th of January 2021.

About NCC

The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a tri-services organisation, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organisation which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.

NCC Special Entry Scheme 49th Course April 2021 Eligibility

  2. Age Limit

Educational Qualification (For NCC Candidates)

Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. Those studying in final year are also allowed to apply provided they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years of three/four years degree course respectively.

Educational Qualification (For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel)

  • The vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Battle casualties specified as:-
  1.  Killed in action.
  2. Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted)
  3. Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted).
  4. Missing.
  • Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years. 
  • NCC 'C' certificate NOT required for Wards of Battle Casualties.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2021)

  • Minimum age - 19 years
  • Maximum age - 25 years

Born not earlier than 02 Jan 1996 and not later than 01 Jan 2002; both dates inclusive
